LSA Student Board
The students are at the centre of everything we do here at the LSA. We want to encourage students to take an active role in contributing to their school and provide them with an opportunity for their voices to be heard and acted upon.
In November 2019 the LSA Student Board was established with 24 representatives from across the 12 form groups.
The structure of the Student Board allows all students to become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with staff, the Principal and management for the benefit of the whole school community.
THE ROLE OF THE STUDENT BOARD
to foster relationships built on mutual respect and trust with all in the school
to provide a line of effective communication between students, staff, the Principal, management and the governing body
to represent the views of the student body on matters of concern to them
to support LSA in creating and maintain an environment conducive to educational and personal development
“Future-ready students need to exercise agency in their own education and throughout life. Agency implies a sense of responsibility to participate in the world and, in so doing, to influence people, events and circumstances for the better.” OECD, 2018
