Imagine a school where your unique background is your greatest strength, and where you’re surrounded by a crew of students who finally get you.

The difference between a “traditional” education and a “creative” one is a myth.

At LSA, we don't just build creative professionals; we build the next generation of confident, academic, and connected leaders.

You graduate with the qualifications, but with the bonus of:

  • a professional network

  • a portfolio of work

  • and the grit to succeed in any industry you choose

LSA is an Ofsted Outstanding Academy that bridges the gap between high-level academic results and real-world success.

98% of our graduates are already in work or further education.

GETTING ACCESS

Level 3:

You need a minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grades 4-9), including English and/or Maths.

Mastering these subjects means you graduate with the communication and logic skills required for high-level industry roles.

But don’t worry! If you haven't hit a Grade 4 in English or Maths, we provide intensive retake support so your talent isn't held back by one exam.

Note: You will not be able to enrol if you do not pass both English and Maths at GCSE.

The Requirements

We require specific grades not to create barriers, but to ensure you have the technical and analytical tools to lead a professional crew.

Level 3 Admissions Process

  1. JOIN THE CREW (Signup): Create an account to unlock our "Insider Calendar" of events

  2. TELL YOUR STORY (Application): Complete an Online Application - We look for potential and original perspectives, not just "film fans"

  3. IN-PERSON CHAT (Interview): If your application is successful, you will be invited for an interview with a member of the LSA Team

  4. ALL ACCESS PASS (Offer): Successful applicants will receive a conditional offer to join the London Screen Academy. Once you’re in, you’re invited to half-term and summer events before term starts

  5. WELCOME (Enrolment): GCSE results are released. A final review of your application, alongside GCSE grades, engagement with LSA and your reference is completed. If successful, a confirmation of a secure place will be made and you join the next generation of creative professionals

Level 4 Admissions Process

  1. SIGNUP: Get immediate access to exclusive applicant-only sessions

  2. ONLINE APPLICATION: Share your creative ambitions and your journey so far

  3. PORTFOLIO & REFERENCE: Submit your "calling card" (work samples) and a professional reference

  4. ASSESSMENT DAY: Join us in person for an assessment day and interview. If you are successful, you will be offered a conditional offer to join the London Screen Academy

  5. FINAL ENROLMENT: Level 3 and A Level results are released and students enrol. If successful, a confirmation of a secure place will be made

Level 4:

You need a Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths at GCSE, plus a Merit or above at Level 3 (A-Levels, BTEC, or UAL).

This proves that you have the academic rigour to handle professional budgets, business plans, and client briefs.

WHAT YOU GET

The Academic Bit

  • In 2025, the average student earned 170 UCAS points - the equivalent of 3 A-Level grades at A*.

  • This means you keep your doors open to top-tier universities like Edinburgh, UCL, and York. You aren’t closing any doors; you’re opening them wider.

  • All students take one of: A-Level English, A-level Maths, Core Maths or an extended project as an additional qualification.

  • The AdQual means you graduate with the analytical and numerical skills of a professional, so you can handle the business, logic, and communication side of any career.

Finding Your People

The biggest fear of starting a new school isn't the work. It’s the worry that you won't find "your people." At LSA, we don’t just have students. We have a community designed from the ground up to ensure you are seen, heard, and supported.

  • Student-led groups like the Ethnicity Inclusion Committee (EIC), Pride!, and ABLE. Become a "changemaker" with a platform to influence school policy and the wider industry. This means you start shaping a more inclusive world before you even graduate.

  • Monthly KLERB socials and the LSAx Enrichment programme. Forget the boredom or anxiety of traditional social settings. Whether it’s themed movie nights, boxing, hip-hop dance, or trips to see Hamilton, we provide the "cultural capital" that makes you a better person and a deeper storyteller.

  • LSA is free to attend. We provide free iPads, travel bursaries, and subsidised meals for everyone, regardless of income.

  • So you can focus 100% on your vision, knowing that your talent and not your background is the only thing that matters.

Creating a Level Playing Field

  • A comprehensive Alumni Programme with twice-weekly newsletters and ring-fenced jobs.

  • Our community doesn't end at graduation. You join a crew of mentors and peers who return to LSA to help you navigate the realities of the working world. The result? A professional safety net that stays with you throughout your career.
