LSAx Enrichment Programme

LSAx is all about eXperience, eXtra-curricular and the eXchange of ideas. The intention of LSAx is to offer opportunities for enrichment beyond the LSA curriculum. These programmes focus on developing interests, professionalism and cultural capital.

Cultural Capital is essential knowledge that is gained through things such as attending theatre productions, exhibitions, reading, watching and listening to things you usually wouldn't. At LSA, the programme includes extra-curricular activities like Crochet Club, Hip Hop Dance, British Sign Language and Boxing. Many of these activities run on a rotational basis so you are able to enjoy a number of different clubs throughout the year.

The LSA Enrichment programme includes things like course-related visits to studios, film sets, museums and galleries. These trips will allow you to develop your research skills and inspire your own work, both school related and your own creative pursuits.

Students have has the opportunity to see The Lion King, Hamilton (followed by a Q&A session with the cast and crew), For Black Boys (Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Gets Too Heavy) and Far From Away. We have had our first trip abroad, five days in New York! Students have also visited the set of Strictly Come Dancing, Loose Women and Molinare Post Production Studios, as well as attending the premiere of Barbie and Oppenheimer!
