The Careers & Alumni Programme
A key part of LSA is supporting our students after graduation. Our role in enabling young people to access jobs in the Film & TV industry doesn’t stop when the course is completed and we have created a well-rounded programme to ensure the future success of our alumni.
In June each year our Year 1 students take part in ‘Back to Your Future’, an on-site Careers Fair where they have the chance to meet university representatives and discuss courses from a range of institutions.
In Year 2 we offer industry-specific careers sessions called ‘Future You’ delivered by professionals working in the industry, covering different entry level job roles, CV writing, interview tips and practical workshops.
With a number of industry partners, LSA has built the ‘LSA Traineeships’. These are entry-level positions open exclusively to graduates of LSA in organisations such as NBCUniversal, Sony, Left Bank Pictures and SISTER. These unique opportunities require no previous experience to apply for, they are an amazing way to build skills and understanding of how the industry works and are an excellent first step to starting a career.
All graduates are invited to join our Alumni Programme which includes; a weekly opportunities newsletter, job application and CV support, access to ring-fenced jobs and LSA Traineeships, up to six networking events per year, a bursary programme and further training opportunities.
Alumni Destinations
Our students go on to a variety of different destinations, from working in entry level roles within the industry, staying on at LSA for our Level 4 course, studying at university or taking gap years. We encourage all students to pursue their passions through the alumni programme to identify working opportunities that align with their interests.
96% of our graduate cohorts are engaged in the alumni programme and receive a weekly newsletter with opportunities for work and networking.
