David began his career as a runner, locking-off sets and making copious amounts of tea on films like A Passage To India and Ragtime. He went on to work as a Creative Executive at Warner Bros. and a Vice President at United Artists, before becoming a producer in his own right.
David's films have grossed over $10 billion worldwide. He is perhaps best-known for producing all eight Harry Potter films, the Academy Award® winning Gravity, and both adaptations of Michael Bond’s Paddington books. Other films he has been involved with include Juice, I Am Legend, We’re The Millers, The Fault in Our Stars, Maze Runner and Fantastic Beasts. Most recently, David co-produced Quentin Tarantino’s directorial Once Upon a Time in…. Hollywood and Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story.
