Post Production

The Post Production department is currently one of the most in demand departments in the industry. In this department students will learn all about editing moving images and sounds together to create their stories, developing the technical skill but also the storytelling skills to cut together filmed material to elicit emotional responses from their audience. In addition to editing, Post Production students will learn about the rapidly expanding industries of animation and VFX (visual effects). Students will learn 2D and 3D animation - creating new worlds and bringing unique characters to life. Almost every film or TV show you watch will now include some form of VFX, whether it’s a full on Marvel sci-fi epic, or more subtle replacement of the background to make it look as if it’s a sunny day instead of overcast, VFX are everywhere and learning about how to use them will give students an incredibly useful skillset.
